P: 347-729-9775 "I am disgusted but not shocked at the number of schools in Brooklyn and throughout the rest of New York City that have high levels of lead in them. Brooklyn and the Bronx have the highest numbers, with well over 300 schools in each of these two Boroughs. Myself and other Educational Advocates have been sounding the alarm for years and have been highlighting the problem. The deaf ears of some of our councilmembers, the Mayor and the DOE has done nothing but made the problem worse. I am demanding that all schools reported, especially P.S. 361 which is now Success Academy in the 45th City Council District have a full lead removal and repainting before the start of the 2019 - 2020 school year. I am also demanding testing for leaf in the water system at all schools and the full lead clean up and pipe replacement as well. This is not a request or an ask. This is a demand. Not only am I a Community Leader and City Council Candidate. I am also a Single Father and I will never standby and stay silent to matters that affect my daughter and any other child in our communities. I do not wabt a reply from our elected officials or the DOE.
